How many directors are required to register a company?

What if there are more than 2 directors?

There can be more than 2 directors; however Indiastartup will charge an additional fee of Rs 2,000 for the additional directors towards DIN and Digital Signature.

Does the address proof of place of business have to be in the director’s name?

The registered office address proof need not be in the director’s name. We would need a No Objection Letter from the owner of the premise.

How long will it takes for the entire registration process to complete?

It depends on the documents provided by you and the Registrar of Companies approval process. It normally takes about 15 working days.

Limited Liability:

One of the major advantage to register a private limited company is that it has limited liability. Which simply means that the financial liability of shareholders is limited to their investment in share capital.

Share Transfer:

What is the Tax Rate for private limited companies?

In the Union Budget 2018, it was proposed that the corporate tax rate to be reduced from 30% to 25% from FY2018 onwards with turnover restrictions.

For FY2018 - Tax Rate is 25% if turnover is less than Rs. 50Cr
For FY2019 - Tax Rate is 25% if turnover is less than Rs. 250Cr

For turnover exceed the limit, the corporate tax rate still continues to be 30% plus surcharge
